Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment is compatible

Only an iPhone SE, or iPhone 11 or above with IOS 17 is required and the SwingVision App.

How and where do I mount the mobile phone

The phone should be mounted high enough to see both baselines. The setup wizard has a guide to show you the optimum height and angle. Using the SwingVision tripod makes this easier as it extends to the optimal height and clips onto most Tennis court fences. Learn how to setup your recording in our how-to guides

How accurate is SwingVision

If you follow the optimal setup and use 60fps recording, shot speeds are accurate to within 10%, and line calling is 95% accurate for close calls.

Note that we measure the average speed of the ball throughout its trajectory, which is about 20% slower than what’s measured by radar on TV!

How much does it cost?

You can download and try the app for free, but for more hours of recording, access more features, higher resolution video and line calling you need the subscription package to learn more click here

Does it only work with iPhone?

We're working closely with Google engineers to bring SwingVision to Android. Unfortunately, the Android device has to run SwingVision's AI in real-time while recording video at 60fps for 2+ hours.

Until then, the most affordable way to access all of SwingVision's capabilities is to purchase a 2nd gen iPhone SE, which is less than $150 on Amazon. Alternatively, you can import footage from a GoPro or Android device into our Mac or iPad app.

Can I use footage from elsewhere and analyse on SwingVision.

Yes! SwingVision allows you to import and analyze videos recorded outside of the app (e.g., GoPro, Android), providing you detailed statistics and video highlights for any session.
